Bollywood nudity looks to Hollywood
Indian films hope that special computer effects created in Hollywood, can enable Indian actresses to appear digitally naked. Will the Indian public buy it?
Wilson Louis's supernatural thriller Ho Sakta Hai has a digitally created nude sequence in the film. Actress Mohini who plays the witch Parvati practicing black magic has shot for the sequence. The scene shows Parvati praying and meditating nude inside a lake to appease the demon and seek its blessings for black magic powers. Director Louis who is an expert at handling SFX (he has done the SFX of around 30 films and is the head of the SFX department in Ketan Mehta's Maya Entertainment Ltd. has digitally recreated the scene adding foggy effects. Now this is a nude sequence where the censors probably should have no objections.
